3D in review: is it just a fad, or is it here to stay?

A few years ago 3D was hailed as “The next big thing.” Now it is time to review what’s happening in the realms of 3D Stereoscopic imaging. As part of InfoComm UK Webinar series, I will present a session on 3D on November 14 at 1:00 pm (London time).

Over the past 4 years I have been so fortunate to present a number of educational sessions for the world’s leading AV organization, InfoComm International. It has been various topics, but variations over 3D Stereoscopy (tech introdocutions, more advanced, 3D in real life AV installations, 3D in medical, and such) have been the most after sought. Now it is time to look into the rearview mirror, taste the present and peak into the crystal bowl again – and do a new take on 3D.

The presentation extract is:

A few years ago 3D was hailed as “The next big thing.” Now it is time to review what’s happening in the realms of 3D Stereoscopic imaging. We will assess the economic trends and the application of 3D stereoscopy to date. The session explores where 3D has failed, where it is having success, and how participants can take part of the business. The session also covers key terminology and takes a look at available technology for the AV market.

  • Do you think 3D has met expectations for the mass market?
  • Do you think 3D is a fad?
  • Do you personally enjoy 3D? Where?
  • Has anyone outside Hollywood commercially benefitted the hype?
  • Are we at the peak of inflated expectations? Or can the peak go higher?
  • Can the AV market make commercial success and can the customer gain ROI by embracing 3D?

You’ll at least get my take on it!

Attending is free, and you can enroll here!
